OVERVIEW
Has your water provider requested you install a 100 litre passive grease trap that complies with BS EN 1825? Many food service establishments are now being advised to fit a BS EN 1825 compliant grease trap, meaning a minimum of 100ltr capacity is required. This GT100 meets this standard. Indeed, for all of your grease management requirements, Grease Trap Store can help!
Our passive under sink 100 litre grease trap can effectively collect fats, oils and grease (FOG’s) without the expense of a Grease Removal Unit.
Designed to be installed underneath a sink on the floor or a shelf, this 304 grade stainless steel grease trap measures 750mm long x 450mm front to back and just 325mm high.
Large enough to accommodate the flow rate of up to 3 sink bowls, or for food service establishments producing up to 200 meals per day, this is an excellent value option for those not wanting to spend thousands on a grease removal unit.
Designed for indoor use, it is ‘powered’ simply using the flow of water and strategically placed internal panels. This careful positioning channels water and allows the fats, oils and grease (FOG’s) to cool and separate. FOG is collected in the central chamber with the remaining safe ‘grey water’ continuing on through the outlet and in to your drains.
This product comes with a 5 year manufacturer defect warranty.

Why Choose a 100 Litre Grease Trap?
For commercial kitchens operating multiple sinks or appliances such as dishwashers, selecting the correct grease trap size is essential. Undersized units struggle to hold enough wastewater for proper FOG separation, resulting in slow drainage, backups and increased maintenance costs. This 100 litre grease trap is designed to cope with larger volumes of water, making it suitable for catering environments that require reliable performance every day.
Several major water companies—including Severn Trent Water and Thames Water—now recommend a minimum 100 litre passive trap to prevent overloading and to support effective FOG control. This model meets those expectations while offering the durability and efficiency needed in a commercial kitchen.
Reliable, Gravity-Fed FOG Separation
All of our passive grease traps operate using gravity alone. Wastewater flows through strategically placed internal baffles, slowing the water and allowing it to cool naturally. As it does, fats, oils and grease rise and remain inside the trap, while cleaner water exits through the outlet. With no power source or expensive filter replacements required, this system offers low running costs and flexible installation options.
Routine maintenance is simple. Checking and emptying the trap at regular intervals ensures optimal performance, and many businesses choose to partner with a local grease trap cleaning service. Whether cleaning yourself or using a contractor, always follow your local authority’s waste disposal guidelines.
