Stainless Steel Under Sink Grease Trap – Amazing Value
In difficult times, it can be hard to find available funds for grease management. At Grease Trap Store we understand you want to be compliant without spending a fortune. That’s why we have designed a range of economical commercial grease traps. Specifically created to fit underneath your kitchen sink, these are one of the most affordable ways to catch FOG’s. Many people value budget under sink grease traps as they are ‘powered’ by gravity, not electricity.
All passive grease traps work by using the gravitational flow of waste water. This is effective at collecting FOG’s and means less expensive to purchase. Not only is it cheaper to buy an under sink passive grease trap, but it’s virtually free to run it, too! With no filters or motors to wear out and replace, your stainless steel fat trap will last years. Because under sink grease interceptors do not require power, they are very flexible and can be situated wherever there is a need. Simply pipe down to the trap and let gravity do the work!
How Do Passive Grease Traps Work?
Our catering grade stainless steel fat traps have carefully positioned internal panels which channel water around the trap. This actively helps separate FOG’s from waste water. As the FOG’s rise to the surface of the trap, the panels help retain this in the central collection chamber for later retrieval. Meanwhile, wastewater navigates around the panels and up in to the outlet for exit in to the drain. This cleaner wastewater is also known as ‘grey water’ as it’s still dirty but safer. To help extend cleaning periods, consider our grease trap cleaner which can naturally reduce FOG build up and prevent unwanted odours.
One of the most important parts of having an efficient and functional grease trap is to ensure it is correctly sized. Furthermore, if an under sink grease trap is too small, this will quickly back up into your sink. If a grease trap is far too big, it can reduce the efficacy of the trap by now allowing sufficient volume of water to collect and the separation process to play out. Both situations can be avoided by calculating what size grease trap in advance. Moreover, consider what size is needed by ascertaining how many sink bowls will feed into the under sink trap.
If you have two commercial sink bowls or more, consider a larger grease trap such as our GT18 or 100 litre GT26
